    Producer: Andrew Loog Oldham
    Composers: Bobby and Shirley Womack
Lyricists: Bobby Womack and Shirley Womack
Associated Performers: Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman, and Ian Stewart
    Lyrics:
Well, baby used to stay out all night long
She made me cry, she done me wrong
She hurt my eyes open, that’s no lie
    The tables turn and now
    Her turn to cry
Because I used to love her
    But it’s all over now
Because I used to love her
    But it’s all over now
Well, she used to run around with every man in town
She spent all my money playing her high class game
She put me out, it was a pity how I cried
    The tables turn and now
    Her turn to cry
Because I used to love her
    But it’s all over now
Because I used to love her
    But it’s all over now
Well, I used to wake in the morning, get my breakfast in bed
When I’d gotten worried, she’d ease my aching head
Well now she’s here and there with every man in town
Still trying to take me for that same old clown
Because I used to love her
    But it’s all over now
Because I used to love her
    But it’s all over now

Ace guitar player Bobby Womack wrote " It's All Over Now" and did not want to give the song over to another artist. It was sometime in the early summer of 1964 that he was persuaded to do so by his management. It was particularly galling to Womack that the song went to one of those " pretty boy English groups" that were storming the US at that time. Well we all know that the Stones had a solid hit with the song and Bobby Wowmack calmed right down when he began recieving the royalty checks in the mail with all those 0's on them!!😊

@tomasomolinnari5726 I was reffering to the way Bobby Womack( a black American R+B artist would have looked upon the British invasion groups on the whole) He probably knew little if anything about the Rolling Stones when the deal for the song was put together in the summer of 1964.

Someone once asked Carl Perkins if it bothered him that more people associated a couple of his songs with the Beatles than him. He said no, not at all, particularly when he opened the mailbox after coming home from a fishing trip, and the checks fell on his feet. Lieber and Stoller weren't keen on some white teenager of whom Stoller, at least, had never heard, recording "Hound Dog." The first check convinced them that Elvis wasn't so bad after all.

Brian Jones got that dirty reverb guitar sound at Chicago's Chess Studio while The Stones were on tour. I was just 14 when I first heard it and fell in love with it … wishing that the instrumental outro would never end. I've yet to hear Brian's sound duplicated onstage by any band covering this song … even The Stones themselves.

The secret sauce is a Rickenbacker 12 string. Most Rickenbacker players go for the clean sound, Jones is going for the grit. I haven't seen any Stone with a Rickenbacker after Jones; they will never get that sound no matter how hard they try on a Fender or a Gibson.
